U-Freight Philippines is the Lead Freight Forwarder for MRT-7 Trains

AC Logistics’ cross border unit, U-Freight Philippines, is the international freight forwarding lead for the country’s newest transit line – Metro Rail Transit Line 7 (MRT-7).

MRT 7 is a 22-kilometer rail line with 14 stations connecting North Avenue, Quezon City to San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. Once operational it is projected to transport approximately 300,000 passengers daily and reduce travel time to 35-minutes from the current two-hour drive end-to-end.

U-Freight is the main logistics partner for the supply line and heavy lift operations transporting 84 rail cars from South Korea to the MRT-7 Depot in the Philippines. Other entities involved are Hyundai Rotem, Hyundai Glovis, Humex Shipping and Airfreight Corporation, Ravago, NMM Customs Brokers, and San Miguel Corporation as the train developer. U-Freight will undertake this cross-border and heavy lift operations until July of 2024 as the project nears 70% completion.

MRT-7 is on track to be fully operational by November 2025.
